Donations Help GROW Nebraska Do More For Businesses
Employees of a Kearney bank supported Nebraska entrepreneurs with their JEAN Day donation to GROW.
At GROW Nebraska, we work hard every day to help businesses thrive. But, did you know that GROW is actually a non-profit organization? We receive money to operate from membership dues, but donations help us do even more!
We are grateful for donations, such as the recent gift from employees at the First National Bank on Omaha, Kearney Branch. A total of 57 employees donated $291 during in the bank’s recent monthly JEAN (Jointly Everyone Can Assist Those Who Need Support) Philanthropy Day.
Employees voted to designate that day’s donation to GROW Nebraska.
“I am a new board member to GROW, and I know that donations are a huge part of GROW’s income,” said Kirsti Schack, the bank’s Branch Manager. “GROW is so much more than a retail store. Anything helps!”
Donations to GROW help entrepreneurs find the resources they need to live anywhere in Nebraska and make a sustainable living. The GROW Nebraska Foundation provides education and training to individuals and small business owners across Nebraska, with an emphasis on economically depressed areas, to create sustainable economic development and marketing opportunities.
Another opportunity to support GROW Nebraska is approaching. We are seeking sponsors for the Nebraska State Fair Pop-Up Store. This store could not happen each year without the help of generous sponsors. Thank you to the following sponsors who have already committed to supporting the store: Great Western Bank, Lips Printing Services, Dorothy Lynch and Gary’s Quick Steak.
If you or your business would like to donate to make GROW’s state fair store a success, or if you would like to donate to the GROW Nebraska Foundation, please call us at (308) 962-6767 or give online at https://grownebraska.org/givenow/
