GROW Nebraska is Back for 2022 State Fair
Deep fat fried food, animals all around, carnival rides, sweet tooth cravings to fill up on! What could all of this mean except Nebraska State Fair is getting ready to roll into town again! GROW Nebraska is happy to be a vendor there again this year with a store front booth inside the Pinnacle building!
Many members are gearing up to join in on the fun! Heartlandia stickers, magnets, and apparel based out of Omaha Nebraska, and Gold Dust kettle corn company based out of Grand Island, Nebraska are a few of the many members attending this year who have attended in previous years.
Amy the owner of Heartlandia states, “We love selling our products to local people.” Last year Amy brought her business to the state fair for the first time. She said it was a no brainer to be a part of it. She goes on to state, “State fair really helped us get the brand in front of people who may not have seen it otherwise. What better way to show a Nebraska based product than at the state fair.” She has many designs of stickers, magnets, koozies, and hats. All with a fun Midwestern theme.
Heartlandia is not the only one who has felt this way. Gold Dust Kettle Corn co-owner Rhoda Shurigar says that coming to the state fair has really helped their business. “Gold Dust Kettle Corn would not be in existence without the State Fair GROW Store! Samples sell product better than anything and you don’t get a bigger audience to give samples to and get feedback from.”
Rhoda Shurigar and co-owner Mike Lagsding have been going to the state fair for several years now. Rhoda states “The first year was just pure excitement of being a part of something so big! Now it is a tradition!”
Small Town Famous store out of Hastings and Grand Island states, “We love being a part of the grow booth. It helps so much with getting exposure for our business and sales are always good. It’s a good fit with our shirts and I highly recommend to any small business with Nebraska made products.”
Nebraska Bison who have been selling Bison since 2011 state, “We have always been able to count on strong sales during the state fair store, and appreciate the visibility it provides.”
