GROW Nebraska® and the GROW Nebraska Women’s Business Center is excited to announce the hire of Nekola Distefano, Business Development Specialist. In her role with GNWBC, Nekola will assist with growing local businesses to the next level.
“I am most excited to be assisting people through their entrepreneurial journey. Being able to walk with and see their success while they achieve their dreams and goals is greatly rewarding and fulfilling,” Nekola said.
Previously, Nekola was the Member Services Coordinator for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. “Having just left the Greater Omaha Chamber to accept this position, helping businesses with Eden is just an extension and enrichment on what I was already doing. I have also been involved in owning a business in the past and my son is currently a partner in a business here in Omaha. These entrepreneurial experiences and connections only add to my knowledge of what our clients might be experiencing and needing along the way.”
The GROW Nebraska Women’s Business Center (GNWBC) is focused on intentionally creating a community of aspiring and established women entrepreneurs to connect, grow, and prosper together. The GNWBC brings together a menu of training and support opportunities while creating a small business network that allows entrepreneurs to gain information and skills to create success.
Distefano said, “I see the impact that GNWBC has on the community every day. It’s amazing to see all of the creative entrepreneurs that just need a little assistance along the way with the business side of their company. GNWBC’s clients are not lacking in ideas and talents; they have invented many ways to solve problems and offer services and products that serve their community. They will ultimately uplift many people through employment and empowerment of others as they grow.”
