University of Nebraska Crafters License

The University of Nebraska created a crafters license program to benefit the local craftsperson. We believe this program will provide crafters with an opportunity to use their creativity without infringing the University’s trademarks, while still allowing the University to maintain the integrity of its brand. We also hope that this program will be used by local entrepreneurs to test the market, before entering into a broader retail license with the University through its licensing agent, CLC. This license is ideal for fans and alumni who are interested in producing small quantities of merchandise.

Nebraska’s Crafters License allows for sales to individual consumers only, and does not allow for wholesale or third party vendor/distributor sales.

Lonna Henrichs is the director of licensing and branding at Nebraska and has served as a full-time member of the Nebraska Athletic Marketing Department since March of 2012. She is responsible for planning, managing, protecting and promoting the use of the University’s names, logos, designs, trademarks, identifying materials and the overall brand of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Henrichs joined the marketing office as the director of ticket marketing in 2012 and served in that role until becoming the director of licensing and branding. Henrichs was responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to increase ticket sales at all Husker sporting events.

Prior to joining the Nebraska staff, Henrichs worked as an account executive for the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals from January 2010 to February 2012. She was also the assistant director of ticket operations for the Lincoln Stars hockey team from 2004 to 2009.
