Meet the Presenter | Taylor Johnson

Taylor joined 6 News WOWT after employing her dynamic storytelling abilities as a reporter at KCTV5 News in Kansas City. There, she had the opportunity to cover a vast array of news from separate visits from President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden to all the excitement behind the Kansas City Chiefs.

Prior to moving farther into the Midwest, Taylor served as weekend evening anchor and reporter in Terre Haute, Ind. At WTWO, she covered a string of federal executions under the administration of Former President Trump. She also served as a fill-in weather anchor.

Taylor got her start in broadcast news as a digital content producer at ABC13 News in Lynchburg, Va., where she produced several segments online, helping the team win an Associated Press award for best website.

Originally from Prince George’s County in Maryland, Taylor spent her younger years exploring neighboring Washington, D.C., where she learned a vast amount of cultural and American history.

Taylor is a proud Terp with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland in College Park.

Taylor is a self-proclaimed “Real Housewives" guru who has blossomed her passion for lifestyle and entertainment from early internships. When she is not live-tweeting during episodes, Taylor enjoys reading a good book, spending time with friends, and face-timing her niece back in Maryland.

If you have story ideas or just want to say hello, always feel free to reach out.
