Your Gift to GROW Nebraska Makes A Stronger State

We need your help! Encourage dreams, support business education and bring Nebraska products to the world through GROW Nebraska.

It’s tough to start a new business. There are regulations to follow, business plans to write, and marketing plans to create in addition to producing a product or service or setting up a store.

GROW Nebraska member Michelle Casperson of Boelus remembers the early days of starting her now successful fragrance business, Murcielago, and is grateful for the help she received from GROW.

“GROW Nebraska is really good for someone who has a start-up and hasn’t gone through the growing pains,” she said. “They just have access to a lot of information. How to market. How to produce. How to sell retail or wholesale. They help you find the answer to your questions.”

For more than 20 years, GROW Nebraska has been there to guide new and experienced business owners and nonprofit leaders to help them achieve their goals and dreams of starting and growing businesses and organizations.

In addition to one-one-one assistance, GROW offers ongoing training opportunities for business owners, marketers and non-profits. GROW Nebraska hosts the annual MarkeTech conference each spring in Kearney, which brings hundreds of business owners and leaders to the area to learn about the latest trends in marketing and technology. GROW offers monthly trainings on topics ranging from marketing, to packaging products to starting an e-mail newsletter.

In 2018, GROW Nebraska relocated its headquarters from Oxford to Kearney and moved its retail store from the Hilltop Mall to the Younes campus in south Kearney. That move boosted visibility for GROW and its members made room for GROW’s new innovation center to better serve its more than 400 members.

In addition to the physical store, GROW Nebraska maintains a “mini Nebraska Amazon” full of Nebraska-made products on its e-commerce store www.buynebraska.com. GROW works side-by-side with businesses, such as Dorothy Lynch and Gary’s QuickSteak, to offer their products to the world through online sales.

“We are so blessed to be GROW Nebraska members,” said Tara Pieper, National Sales Director for Gary’s QuickSteak. “They have been a godsend, and they are just right in our back door.”

GROW Nebraska is a nonprofit organization and is funded through membership dues, corporate sponsorships and grant funds. But, those funds often aren’t enough to continue to serve the ever-changing needs of businesses and organizations. We need your help. Please consider a gift of $25, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 during Kearney’s Give Where You Live event on Dec. 5.
