Just like its namesake Dorothy Lynch, this dressing got its start in Nebraska. In the late 1940s, Dorothy Lynch and her husband ran the restaurant at the local Legion Club in St. Paul, Nebraska. When Dorothy introduced Legion Club members to her homemade recipe, the dressing rapidly became a local favorite. From there, its popularity grew.
In 1964, Tasty-Toppings, Inc. purchased the recipe and rights to Dorothy Lynch and built a production facility in Columbus, Nebraska. The company later expanded its production capacity with a modern 64,000 square foot plant in Duncan, Nebraska. This is where every bottle of Dorothy Lynch Home Style is produced today.
Now as a GROW Nebraska® member, Dorothy Lynch is now helping other local brands grow. In addition to providing education and training to small businesses across the state, GROW Nebraska® serves as a reliable online source for Dorothy Lynch fans to order their favorite dressing.
Dorothy Lynch is available (along with 3,500 other products) on GROW Nebraska® ecommerce sites: BuyNebraska.com, eBay and Amazon. It is also available at many locally owned Nebraska shops, and at grocery stores around the country including WalMart, Hy-Vee, Russ’s Market, Super Saver, Baker’s, Family Fare and Faraway.
