Jacque Cranson originally set out to be an attorney but instead became “famous” by creating unique apparel and accessories, including her popular “Devaney, Osborne, Some Other Guys, Frost” t-shirt.
Cranson earned a law degree from the University of Nebraska. But, instead of working as an attorney after graduation, she started a business selling sports apparel at volleyball and softball tournaments and camps. She quickly paid off $100,000 in student loans.
In 2016, she started creating her own designs and opened Small Town Famous at 102 N. Denver in downtown Hastings. She creates custom apparel for any occasion through screen printing, embroidery and vinyl transfer. She has recently expanded her line of children’s clothing. Her designs also include trucker hats, earrings and promotional products.
Cranson joined GROW Nebraska in 2018 and has participated in GROW’s State Fair store the past two years and has surpassed the $20,000 mark in sales each year.
But something she is even more proud of is that she now writes more than 10 paychecks to employees in her hometown of Hastings.
